Sean Breen - Club man of the year at Gorey district Awards 2019
A big thanks to everyone who attended our Dinner Dance last night. Great crowd there to celebrate our women’s double winning team. Well done to Murt Kavanagh on winning club person of the year, well deserved as he works very hard throughout the year with the club. Thanks to Graham and all his team in the Upton Court Hotel for hosting us, the food was brilliant. Dave & Tina Smith for the music, keeping everyone up on the dance floor throughout the night. Thanks again to everyone involved

On Tuesday, some of our ladies football team were welcomed by the students and teachers of Riverchapel primary school. The women showed off the 3 cups won in 2018 and chatted with the girls promoting the benefits of being part of a football team. The women were met by some very enthusiastic girls who they hope to be playing on the same football team with in years to come 🖤💛

8/7/18
A great afternoon was had in the clubhouse today. Our u14 hurlers welcomed a team from New York, who have been travelling the country playing clubs from different counties, trying to improve their skills. Both teams put on a great performance for the many spectators at the pitch today. There was great intensity, tackling and scoring from both of these young teams. The New York side won in the end on a scoreline of 4-2 to 1-3. However, our boys should be very proud of themselves as a New York spectator commented that it was a brilliant experience to play a team of our caliber. |
